Interesting changes in last night’s U-turn from Gavin Williamson following the handling of the results crisis.
A-level and GCSE students across England, Wales and Northern Ireland will be handed grades as predicted by their teachers instead of the controversial algorithm that has left many in fear for their future prospects.
However, pupils whose calculated grades are higher will be able to keep those results.
This morning I am sure there is a lot of relief across the UK however is the Education Secretary words ‘incredibly sorry’ enough??
A-level students may have been too late, missing their first choice of university and course. Also, the rise in the number of people achieving the required entry grades could lead to further uncertainty and troubles in the admission process.
